The Perks Of Online Poker

While there are many reasons why it would be both more fun and engaging to play poker at an ACTUAL casino, playing poker online does have some benefits! Let's take a look at them, shall we?

To start, you can never get truly comfortable while in a casino. Whether this is because you always have the feeling that tons and tons of unseen eyes are always on you or because the chairs just aren't very well cushioned. Not to mention, free booze is not a great way to begin the one way ticket to comfort. Unless of course you define comfortable as being blacked out in a bed (hopefully a comfortable one). The end result is that playing poker in casino environment, while lavish and visually pleasing, just isn't very comfortable.

With online poker, you can do whatever you want! Sit in a bean bag, stand on a foot stool. Even jump up and down naked when you win a hand, which is definitely something that you would NOT be able to do at a casino. Unless you enjoy being thrown face first into some nice tasty pavement. Ahh, there's nothing like the real thing that's for sure!!

The other available offline option is playing poker at someones house. This is always awkward because 1) You feel bad when you win their money from them in their very own house and 2) You just can't get comfortable while jammed on a four person couch with twelve other people. There's many other reasons but while playing at home online you can set the tone just as you like it. Prefer classical music as you shoot for pocket aces? Do it up. Like the reggae to go along with a heart glass of whiskey as you chase the jackpot? Sure thing. Like hardcore techno music with phasing laser lights as you try and get that money? That's certainly very weird, but sure, you can do that too!

It's unclear on which option is truly the best and we will likely never know. They are in essence complete and polar opposites. You just get a completely different experience in regards to both. However the next time you find yourself playing online poker and want to spice things up a bit then just thing of the long list of things that you COULDN'T do in an actual casino...
